The current contract term of nine years remains unchanged as a result of performance.

The whole contract is extended from 31 March 2021 to 30 May 2021, and the arrangement in relation to surface dressing only is extended up to September 2021.

RIS will provide Rectification Action Plans for those Primary and Secondary Performance Indicators which have not met the set targets.

Rectification Action Plans will be monitored and managed through the contract governance structure.

CPI targets are implemented as agreed.

Ringway will produce an updated Annual Action Plan to be monitored and managed through the contract governance structure.

Highway Maintenance Contract (HMC 2012)
In accordance with the contract documents, the Contract Period is determined by the performance of the Contractor (Ringway) against the Contract Performance Indicators (CPIs).
During the contract, the Contract Period may be adjusted by none, one or two years, between a minimum of six years and a maximum of 10 years.

Following a thorough assessment of Ringway’s performance, the HMC 2012 Evaluation Panel decided that:
Although Ringway had demonstrated improved performance compared with the previous year, for which the panel complimented the management team, the level of improved performance did not warrant a change to the current length of the contract.

The two month extension for the whole contract and extension up to September 2021 for Surface Dressing will assist in the transition to the Teckal arrangement with NY Highways.

Ringway has agreed to work closely with the County Council to assist the creation of NY Highways, providing access to staff and information, which has been recognised by the county council as a great help.
