Purpose:

To seek approval to award a contract for c. £2m for the delivery of the ‘Engaging and Progressing People’ strand of the UK Shared Prosperity fund programme in North Yorkshire.
The contract award is currently subject to an ongoing procurement process being delivered in accordance with the Council’s financial rules.

Decision:

To award the Engaging and Progressing People contract under the People and Skills Theme UKSPF. The award will be made through the evaluation process to the organisation who submitted the highest quality submission.

Reasons for the decision:

Following the procurement process, the contract will be awarded to the highest quality bid, in line with the specification, enabling one of the programmes under the People and Skills priority of the UKSPF to be delivered. This will fulfil one of North Yorkshire Council’s obligations under the UKSPF programmes as the accountable body. The programme will enable people who are in work to receive support to stay in work and progress and people who are not in work to receive support to help them access education, training and employment.
