Purpose:

For the Corporate Director Environment, under delegated powers, to approve the introduction of the Traffic Regulation Orders required for the Skipton Transforming Cities Fund project.

Decision:

i) A public Inquiry is not appropriate for the reasons set out in the report and approval is given to the making of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) as outlined;

ii) the Assistant Chief Executive (Legal and Democratic Services) be authorised to seal the relevant Traffic Regulation Order by the Corporate Director for Environment and Executive Member, Highways and Transportation in light of the objections received and;

iii) the objectors are notified within 14 days of the Order being made

Reasons for the decision:

The Council considers that it is expedient to make this Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) on the grounds (a, c and f) having taken into account its duty under Section 122(1) of the 1984 Act, for the following reason.

To support local travel improvements and the wider strategic aims of the Skipton Transforming Cities Fund (TCF) project.
