Purpose:

To seek approval from the Assistant Chief Executive – Local Engagement, Rachel Joyce, for the procurement of the Children and Young People’s Therapeutic Service
The current contract is due to expire on 30 September 2025, with no options to extend the current agreement, therefore a procurement exercise must commence to ensure continuity of service.
The funding envelope for this contract will move from £300,000 to £400,000 over three years (2 + 1 year extension).
This will be met with the following funding:
Existing Council funding for this contract is £240,000 over three years (2 + 1 year extension)
MHCLG Grant fund injection of £160,000 over three years (2 + 1 year extension)

Decision:

Over the last five years North Yorkshire County Council, and now North Yorkshire Council, has commissioned services for a cohort of children and young people. The current service contract will expire on 30 September 2025 and therefore a new contract to ensure service continuation is required.

To carry out an Invitation to Bid under the Light-Touch Regime for the re-tendering of the provision of Therapeutic Services.
