That existing land, currently not recognised as highway, which borders the south side of Yafforth Road, Northallerton (north of Barkers) will become Highway Maintainable at Public Expense. See attached plan

The land is not registered with HM Land Registry and comparison with the deeds of Barkers and the neighbouring land reveal the land not to be included in either ownership. it is considered appropriate in this instance that this grassed area also should be considered as highway maintainable at public expense.

The land continues as ‘status unknown’. This would prevent any future highway improvements from being requested as part of future development works.
