Decision:

The Authority has awarded a contract to Phoenix Software Limited for the supply of Anti-Virus Software after running a further competition via the CCS Framework RM6098 Lot 6. The software will be resold to schools through the NYES Digital traded service.

The new contract is to commence on the 14 June 2025 for an initial period of 3 years with no option to extend.

Reasons for the decision:

NYES Digital (the Authority’s traded IT service) provide Anti-virus software to schools. The existing supplier contract was due to expire therefore a new contract was required for NYES Digital to continue to offer this service.

Alternative options considered:

Other frameworks were considered and rejected.

Open tender process was considered and rejected due to time and resource needed.
