*Re-Published - no longer subject to call in* Adaptations to Property

Decision Maker: Corporate Director of Health and Adult Services

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Decision:

Approved a grant of £22,232.72 from the Care Act Budget for adaptations to property as per the accompanying report.

Reasons for the decision:

*PLEASE NOTE This decision was originally published on or near the date of the decision and so call in no longer applies. It has been re-published as part of the change in committee management system that we use.*

Mr T uses a self-propelled wheelchair and cannot access showering or bathing facilities in his property. He struggles to use the kitchen and his only access to the property is using a temporary ramp.
Mr T wishes to remain in his bungalow and in the area as he moved from Derbyshire to be nearer to family and friends. He is unlikely to be able to afford a move to a more suitable property.

The adaptations will install a wet floor shower, alter the height of kitchen units/work surface and provide a ramp to the front access and allow wheelchair access around to the property to the garden.
