Approval was given for the direct award of the contract for the provision of technology enabled care services
This decision was taken under urgency procedures and the call in exemption procedure applied.
The proposed new contract provides the best available option to ensure continuity of care.
Due to time pressures associated with the imminent failure of the current provider, there was insufficient time to undertake a competitive process at this time. The recommendation is for a direct award via the Procurement Services Integrated Community Care Equipment and Associated Services Framework. In accordance with Regulation 33(8)(a) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR 2025), the Authority is satisfied that a direct award may be undertaken via the framework in line with the provider being able to supply the required goods/services within the required timescales. In addition, we are satisfied that, following due diligence, the provider that offers best value for this requirement, in this circumstance, has been identified.
Due to the time pressures associated with the current provider there is insufficient time to undertake a competitive process at this time.??
