Agreement to a contribution from the Care Act
Budget towards adaptations to the home of Mrs H. This decision was
taken in consultation with the Executive Member, County Councillor
Clare Wood.
*PLEASE NOTE This decision was originally
published on or near the date of the decision and so call in no
longer applies. It has been re-published as part of the change in
committee management system that we use.*
• To enable Mrs H to live athome with as much dignity and
independence as possible.
• To enable the family support to continue.
• To allow the carers to access appropriate facilities to
enable ease of care.
Alternative adaptations have been considered:-
• The space downstairs in this property is inadequate for the
installation of a ground floor toilet and show which needs to be
accessed with a shower toilet chair. The only viable solution is
the installation of a through floor lift to the upstairs for a wet
floor shower to the upstairs bathroom.
• Mrs H wishes to remain in her property with her husband in
the area as they have local support from family, and they are
unlikely to be able to afford a move to a more suitable
property.
