Decision on an Application submitted to the
Rural Housing Fund
Decision:
Following a recommendation of the Affordable
Housing Funding Panel, the decision has been made to make a grant
of £440,000 from the Rural Housing Delivery Fund to
Broadacres Housing Association to support the development of 11 new
affordable homes in Shipton by Beningbrough.
The award is subject to the development of a grant agreement and
subsidy controls.
Reasons for the decision:
The Rural Housing Delivery Fund has been
established using income from the 2nd Homes Council Tax premium to
support the delivery of affordable housing on rural exception
sites. There is a high need for affordable housing across all of
North Yorkshire, with rural locations especially challenging to
deliver in.
