To allow a Discretionary Top Up Grant of £50,020.45 to enable a ground floor side extension to provide a separate bedroom and bathroom for a disabled child. Total value of the adaptations will be over £50K with the mandatory and discretionary funding in place.
Further to a Consultation carried out with the Disabled Adaptations Advisory Group on 21/04/2026 it was agreed that these works were required to enable the provision of an additional bedroom and bathroom.
Due to the constraints of the property this is the most effective option.
