To award a contract for a PC booking and Wi-Fi
print management system for North Yorkshire Library Service. The
current contract expires on 30 September 2021. The new contract
will commence on 1 October 2021 and expire on 30 September 2024.
One optional extension is available.
Necessary for continuation of service
provision.
1. Do nothing – discounted as would
result in inability to continue service provision.
2. Re-use NYCC systems. PC Booking and Print Control are unique
capabilities to libraries and have little in common with corporate
solutions available within NYCC. Re-using existing systems is not
feasible as no existing NYCC systems can provide the functionality
required.
3. Bespoke NYCC development. Bespoke in-house development of
operational systems is not T&C policy, especially if it is
possible for these systems to be procured.
