Purpose:

To extend the Property Consultancy Services Contract as per the option to extend clauses within the contract

Decision:

To extend the current Property Service consultants contract with Align Property Partners effective from 1st November 2021.

Reasons for the decision:

The Council currently has a consultancy service for property projects and estate services via a contract with Align Property Partners, a wholly owned company established on the 1st November 2016. The current contract uses the NEC3 Professional Services Contract and runs until 31st October 2021, with option to extend clauses within the contact. Following a Gateway review of the options, the Council’s Property Services are extending the current contract up until the 31st March 2022, to enable a new more practical contract to be developed that will be better suited to the contractual and working relationships between the two parties.
