Purpose:

Procurement of a two year Microsoft Licencing Solution Partner contract

Decision:

To direct award NYCC’s License Solution Provider contract to Softcat Ltd. for a period of 2 years.

Reasons for the decision:

This is to re-align the LSP contract end date with our Microsoft Enterprise Agreement which was itself extended by two years as part of Microsoft E5 ramp offer.

Alternative options considered:

Discussion undertaken with procurement and the Crown Commercial Services (providers of the frameworks) to see if there were alternatives that would deliver better savings than extending on the current terms and pricing on the current contract with SoftCat of which we were advised that the current pricing schedule was still more than favourable and re-running a full re-procurement may result in higher pricing.
