Approval of the proposals to migrate the North Yorkshire Council (NYC) Highway Asset Management System from Symology Insight to Symology Aurora.

Reasons for the decision:

To enable the transfer of the existing highway asset management system to a new updated platform ahead of supplier support being withdrawn for the current system.
The highway asset management system plays a fundamental role in the operation of both NYC Highways & Transportation and NY Highways.

Alternative options considered:

Retain Symology Insight until the system is end of life in 2025
Keep Insight for as long as possible and migrate to alternative platform only when necessary (2025)

Ascertain best value through procurement of a dedicated Highways Asset Management system
