Harrogate Business Improvement District is
holding a ballot to seek support for a second term from 1 January
2024. The close of ballot is 29 June 2023.
North Yorkshire Council will have a vote in relation to each
hereditament in the Harrogate Business Improvement District area
where the Council is the ratepayer
Decision required, in line with Council’s constitution, where
delegated authority is with the Chief Executive to exercise all
functions in connection with the completion of ballot papers on
behalf of the Council in relation to any Business Improvement
District ballot.

Harrogate Business Improvement District is
holding a ballot to seek support for a second term from 1 January
2024. The close of ballot is 29 June 2023.
North Yorkshire Council (NYC) is eligible to vote in relation to
each hereditament in the Harrogate Business Improvement District
area where the Council is the ratepayer. There are 16 hereditaments
where NYC has a vote.
In line with Council’s constitution, the Chief Executive has
delegated authority to exercise all functions in connection with
the completion of ballot papers on behalf of the Council in
relation to any Business Improvement District ballot.
The decision of the Chief Executive was to abstain from voting in
the ballot.
By abstaining from voting in the Harrogate
Business Improvement District ballot will allow eligible businesses
to decide on Harrogate BID proposal.
To vote yes or no in the Harrogate Business
Improvement District ballot was considered and rejected.
