Purpose:

Contract extension for Hard Facilities Management PE and External Play Equipment: Inspection and Minor Repair

Decision:

To extend the Hard Facilities Management PE and External Play Equipment: Inspection and Minor Repair contracts.

Reasons for the decision:

The current Hard Facilities Management PE and External Play Equipment: Inspection and Minor Repair contracts established by the former County Council are due to expire at the end January 2024.

A decision has been made to extend the contracts until the 31st December 2024.

The decision has been made following a review of all options under a Gateway process. The high-level advantages include; that the contracts were competitively tendered through a YPO Framework public procurement process with prices and rates fixed for the full term of the contracts (based on agreed annual price revision clauses) helping to offset any current market prices increases / risk, shorter process in extending over re-tendering from a resource and cost point of view, no potential break in service during changeover, ability to continue usage for traded services, maintaining positive relationship with current supplier.
