Purpose:

Purchase of Liquid Fuel - Oil (Heating Oil) – contract for heating oil supply to commence from the 22 November 2023 (for Corporate Properties and Schools)

Decision:

To undertake a procurement exercise for the supply of Liquid Fuels (Heating) for corporate sites, including school & academy portfolios of North Yorkshire Council from the 22nd November 2023. The replacement contract will include the former NYCC sites that use Liquid Fuels and the sites from the former seven boroughs and districts which will be brought into the new contract as their existing contracts end.

Reasons for the decision:

A decision has been made to undertake a procurement exercise for the supply of Liquid Fuels (Heating) for corporate sites, including school & academy portfolios (which make up the majority of the sites which will utilise the contract) of North Yorkshire Council from the 22nd November 2023. The replacement contract will include the former NYCC sites that use Liquid Fuels and the sites from the former seven boroughs and districts which will be brought into the new contract as their existing contracts end.

The procurement will commence later this year with a view to having a new contract in place for the 22nd November 2023.
