To seek approval to undertake an open
procurement for the provision of repair and maintenance services
for the former Selby District Council LGV fleet. This is part of
the project to insource Selby Waste Services from a 3rd party
supplier to North Yorkshire Council.
To commence with procurement process for a
supplier to provide repair and maintenance provider for the former
Selby District Council waste vehicles.
The procurement of a new vehicle repair and
maintenance contract will enable the council to ensure that we are
operating a safe and compliant fleet, in line with our Operator
Licence undertakings; as well as maintaining waste provision
services in the Selby area.
The Council’s maintenance provision in
the Selby area is provided by NY Highways and having reviewed the
current maintenance capacity in the Selby area, it has been
determined that there is not sufficient capacity to take on the
repair and maintenance duties associated with the additional
vehicles. Therefore, a third-party maintenance supplier is required
to provide these services.
