Decision details

The decision is required to undertake the procurement for the Planned Kitchen and Bathroom Upgrades contract.
The procurement recommendation is to use a further competition on the Efficiency North General Building Works DPS - lot 28 for kitchen and bathroom upgrades. Two contracts will be procured that will cover the requirements.

To utilise a Further Competition on Efficiency North’s to use a further competition on the Efficiency North General Building Works DPS - lot 28 to procure a contract for kitchen and bathroom upgrades. Works will cover the areas of Richmondshire, Selby and Harrogate.

The DPS allows access to a wide range of pre-qualified contractors ensuring competition when utilising a further competition to deliver value. The DPS also allows for the ability to onboard suppliers such as local SME’s and incumbent suppliers allowing them the opportunity to bid for the contract.

Open Procedure was rejected due to the timeframe involved and the additional resources required to deliver these contracts through this method.
