Purpose:

NYC has been offered Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund grant of £1,772,000. This provides financial support of up to 50% for housing retrofit measures to Council owned stock. To accept the grant, the Grant Offer Letter and associated documents must be signed and returned by 9th April 2024.

Decision:

The Executive Member for Culture, Arts and Housing authorises the acceptance of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund grant offer of £1,772,000 and approval of North Yorkshire Council co-funding of £2,045,107.30

Reasons for the decision:

To enable acceptance of the SHDF grant to support social housing decarbonisation.

Alternative options considered:

Not to accept: This was rejected as the bid provides additional external funding to support the social housing decarbonisation programme.
