The Scarborough Fair will proceed to apply for a grant of up to £75,000 towards an international partnership with the Lagos Fringe Festival. Commencing in November 2024 with Scarborough-based artists and NYC Tourism colleagues travelling to Lagos, and in June, Nigerian artists and practitioners attending Scarborough Fringe 2025.
This is a unique opportunity for funding between Nigeria and the UK for artistic exchange. North Yorkshire Council Tourism has had a working relationship of 9 years with the British Council in Nigeria.
