The purpose of the report is to set out the Council’s approach to voting in Business Improvement District (BID) ballots and re-ballots.
To ensure it is private businesses that determine the result of the ballot the Council intends to take a neutral position by abstaining from voting in BID ballots and re-ballots. This decision seeks to formally confirm this position.

That the Council abstains from voting in BID ballots including the forthcoming Yorkshire Coast BID re-ballot
