Purpose:

To agree the indicative headline highways maintenance capital allocations for the financial year 2025/26 based on current funding assumptions.
Grant approval to carry out the relevant procurement processes.
This allows a draft 2024/25 programme to be developed for approval in Summer 2025

Decision:

Authorisation for the
•addition of schemes to the Highways Capital Forward Programme for Structural Highway Maintenance identified since the last Highways Capital Programme report dated 25 August 2023 at a combined total of £497,533 (Appendix A);
•indicative headline structural highways maintenance capital allocations for 2025/26 based on current planning assumptions is agreed (Appendix B); and
•approved grant to carry out the relevant procurement processes for schemes to be delivered in 2025/26.

Reasons for the decision:

To enable Council officers, working alongside NYH and partner organisations to develop the 2025/26 annual programme and for relevant procurement activities to take place for the delivery of the 25/26 annual capital programme.
