To undertake a procurement exercise for Hard Facilities Management Fire and Intruder Alarms: Servicing and Responsive Maintenance

Decision:

To undertake a procurement exercise to establish a new contract for Hard Facilities Management Fire and Intruder Alarms: Servicing and Responsive Maintenance for North Yorkshire Council.

Reasons for the decision:

A decision has been made to undertake a procurement exercise to establish a new contract for the Hard Facilities Management Fire and Intruder Alarms: Servicing and Responsive Maintenance, as the contracts established by the former County Council for this are due to expire. The new contract will also include provision to provide all relevant servicing and maintenance for additional Council properties as other contract arrangements expire, as well as provision for Property’s Traded Service Property Solutions clients.

The procurement will commence later this year with a view to having new contracts in place for the 1 April 2025. It is proposed that the new contract will be for a duration of three years with options to extend for a further four years (resulting in a maximum contract period of seven years).
