Structural Highway Maintenance of the additional schemes as set out
in Appendix 1 of the Highways Capital Programme Report 2018/19
(Special Urgency Decision).

These accelerated schemes need to be delivered in advance of the
Tour de Yorkshire bike race in May 2019. The decision was taken
under the special urgency procedure as the required additions to
the Programme cannot reasonably be deferred, to enable timely
decision making and the meeting of project deadlines to ensure
delivery of the schemes in the relevant timescales.
