Purpose:

To authorise the passing on of funding to York Music Hub and enter into the York/ North Yorkshire Music Hub partnership agreements.

 

Purpose of report:

 

·         That entering into the partnership agreements between York Music Hub and North Yorkshire Council and the dissemination of those elements of the grant monies allocated for use by the York Music Hub are authorised.

 

·         That Terms and Conditions for the service are changed to allow for half a terms notice.

Decision:

Approval for the dissemination of the DfE allocation for York Music Hub, totalling £222,551 for academic year 2024/25, and enter into partnership agreements with York Music Hub.

Approval to procure contracts to supply musical instruments, using the capital grant received from the Arts Council England. As a named hub lead North Yorkshire Council will also purchase goods for the benefit of the residents of York, using their allocated portion of the grant.

Reasons for the decision:

The partnership agreements will enable the close collaboration of partners in the York area
and ensure the National Plan for Music Education is being delivered in line with grant
conditions making sure that educational Key Performance Indicators are being met.

That authorisation is given to enter into the partnership agreements between York Music
Hub and The North Yorkshire Council and the dissemination of those elements of the
grant monies allocated for use by the York Music Hub.
