To undertake a variation to contract 48877 - Income Management and Card Payment Solution - to include the addition of a deliverable to support the consolidation of system instances under the contract and the associated charge. Extension to the contract expiry date to 31 October 2027. The value of the variation is £386,767.99.

Reasons for the decision:

Significant work is currently underway within Finance and Technology Services to consolidate all existing income management instances (across Civica, Capita (already moved) and Adelante), onto one single instance following local government reorganisation. This contract variation enables this work to be completed and the Council to work off one consolidated system before going back out to the market for an Income Management system.

Alternative options considered:

Migration to another supplier in the timescales provided with the resource available was considered and deemed too expensive and heavy on resources.
