Purpose:

To approve the continuation of cultural grants for key cultural organisations for a further three year period.

Decision:

To award cultural grant agreements consistent with inherited arrangements, and as set out in the report dated 11 June 2025, for financial years 2025/26 to 2027/28.

Reasons for the decision:

To provide financial consistency to cultural organisations with legacy agreements, on the understanding agreements are linked to cultural strategy deliverables.

Alternative options considered:

Removal of all grants was considered, however this would lead to financial instability for the organisations in receipt of grants through legacy arrangements.
