The purpose of the report is to seek approval for the procurement of a new ‘fit for purpose’ Leisure Management System for the Sports and Active Wellbeing Service (Active North Yorkshire), for 3 years, with two optional 2-year extensions (therefore a possibly 7 year contract), through an open tender process.

Approval to procure a new Leisure Management System.

To support the transition to the Sports and Active Wellbeing Services target operating model, a new system will unify services, streamline processes and enhance team collaboration.

As part of the solution assessment, the option to reuse existing systems was evaluated but discounted, as acquiring a new solution through a competitive procurement process offers greater overall benefits. A more competitive price can be achieved with a longer contract term and more favourable terms and conditions.
