Minutes:

Councillor Gostlow raised a query in relation to the draft Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 30 January 2024. It was requested that the Committee’s request to officers to be involved in discussions concerning active travel plans impacting the west of Harrogate, and the concerns relating to this resulting in two fallen motions be recorded in the Minutes. It was therefore agreed that the draft Minutes be amended and voted on at the next meeting.

Considered :-

 

The Assistant Director - Planning sought determination of a planning application for the erection of a two-storey rear extension, front extensions, widening of the drive to the front, alterations to ground levels and alterations to fenestration and materials at 35 Oakdale, Harrogate.

 

During consideration of the above report, the Committee discussed the following issues:-

  • The materials proposed to be used on the roof.
  • Potential issues surrounding overlooking.
  • The view that the extension would enhance the street scene and the quality of the area.

 

The decision :-

 

That planning permission be granted subject to the conditions listed within the report.

A vote was taken and the motion was declared unanimously carried.
