The Corporate Director, Environment sought the determination by the Sub-Committee of an application to vary a Premises Licence for The Drunken Piglet, 38 Cold Bath Road, Harrogate, HG2 0NA.

 

The options available to the Sub-Committee were

 

·       To grant the licence as applied for (subject to the reduction in hours and added conditions as agreed with North Yorkshire Police and Environmental Protection)

·       To grant the licence with conditions; or

·       To reject the application in whole or part

 

Decision

 

The Sub-Committee unanimously agreed to GRANT the variation to the existing premises licence to increase the opening hours and sale of alcohol by one hour at the premises, as detailed in the report, subject to all mandatory conditions, conditions agreed between the Applicant and North Yorkshire Council Environmental Protection team and the Applicant and North Yorkshire Police as detailed in the report, and subject to the following additional condition

 

·       Except for access and egress, all external doors and windows at the premises shall be kept closed from 21:00hrs until 08:00hrs.
