Verbal Updates

The Climate Change Officer to deliver verbal updates on the following issues:

    4. LAEPs
  4. HUG2
  5. LEVI

  8. External meetings - YDNP/Craven & MoD
  9. George Nickling House
  10. Pathway to Net Zero - proposal for Full Council to endorse
  11. University of York - proposal for Students

Minutes:

The Climate Change Officer (CCO) delivered a verbal update on climate change matters including EVCPs, Colburn Lorry Park, Community Renewal Fund Projects, HUG2, LEVI, E-Taxi, Communitree, External Meetings and George Nicking House. Members’ attention was drawn to the announcement on the Routemap to Carbon Negative and the proposal including the University of York.

 

Agreed:  That the updates be noted, and that the proposal to request University of York students to be a part of the projects be approved.

The Planning Information and Climate Change assistant to deliver a report on paper usage at RDC.

Minutes:

The Planning Information and Climate Change Assistant delivered an update on the usage of paper across the Council. The Council is on target to meet the estimation of between 380,000 and 401,000 prints over the course of this financial year.

 

Agreed:  That the update be noted.

The Planning Information and Climate Change Assistant delivered an report on a conference regarding the use of plastics in woodlands across the country.
