Having taken account of the comments made by
Executive Members, and all the relevant information provided at the
informal meeting of Executive Members on 25 January 2022, the Chief
Executive Officer agreed to use his emergency delegated powers to
recommend to Council acceptance of the Public Sector Audit
Appointments’ invitation to opt into the sector-led option,
for the appointment of external auditors to principal local
government and police bodies for five financial years from 1 April
2023.
