To seek permission for acceptance of
£1.5m grant funding from the Environment Agency (EA) to
progress Phase 2 of the project. The grant will allow progression
to completion of the project including the procurement of a
specialist consultant to design and project manage the works and a
contractor to undertake the works.
Phase 1 works was successfully completed in 2014 and in 2022 the
former Scarborough Borough council applied for a grant from the EA
to undertake Phase 2.
