The Boundary Commission commenced consultation
on the future divisional boundaries for North Yorkshire Council on
1st October 2024. This is based on a council size of 89 members.
The consultation runs until 9th December 2024.
The Boundary Review Member Working Group have developed a proposed
pattern of divisions to meet the criteria set by the Boundary
Commission. Executive is asked to approve the proposals for
submission to the Boundary Commission within the consultation
period.

Consultation process
The consultation will run until 9th December
2024. There will be a further public consultation by the Boundary
Commission on the final proposals, likely to be around May
2025.

Group, ensuring broad representation and local knowledge of the
areas being discussed.
The Boundary Commission’s consultation is a public
consultation, promoted to all residents, communities, businesses
