Submission of bid application to the Nature Towns and Cities Fund, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund
To seek approval to submit a bid application
for up to £1,000,000 plus a 5% contribution from the Council
to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The bid proposal is to develop a financial mechanism which connects
community nature recovery projects in the Whitby and Ryedale area
with potential investment opportunities. The proposal supports the
Council’s priorities to invest in the region’s Natural
Capital as well as maximising the potential of natural assets and
environment to improve physical and mental health.
