To obtain approval from the Executive to acquire a total of 19 new build properties in Scarborough and Norton (9 in Scarborough and 10 in Norton) for use as affordable rented accommodation to take into the Housing Revenue Account.
There is high housing need in both Scarborough and Norton for all types of accommodation, including both family and single person households. The acquisition of these homes will increase the supply of affordable rented housing in both Scarborough and Norton and will also form part of our aspiration to deliver 500 new Council homes over the next 5 years.
