Consultation process
No formal consultation will be undertaken.
However, the North Yorkshire Schools Forum will be notified of the
Early Years Expansion Grant 2025-26 at the meeting on 13 March
2025. Early years providers will be notified of the grant through
the Early Years Key Messages bulletin, the CYPS-Info Red Bag
bulletin and the March 2025 Early Years Leadership Forum
briefings.
Consultees
The DfE conditions of grant for the Early
Years Expansion Grant 2025-26, published on 28 February 2025, do
not require formal consultation to be undertaken with the
Schools’ Forum or the early years sector. The conditions of
grant require local authorities to communicate provider funding
rates within 6 weeks of DfE’s publication of rates, that is
by 10 April 2025; this timescale does not allow for a formal
consultation to be undertaken. The Schools’ Forum and the
early years sector will be notified of the Early Years Expansion
Grant 2025-26 in early March 2025 and there will be opportunity for
comments and feedback to be provided.
