require formal consultation to be undertaken with the
Schools’ Forum or the early years sector. The conditions of
grant require local authorities to communicate details of the local
approach to distribution and indicative allocations to DfE and
providers by 31 May 2026; this timescale does not allow for a
formal consultation to be undertaken
