THE CHARTER TRUSTEES FOR SCARBOROUGH WERE DISSOLVED ON 6 MAY
2025 FOLLOWING THE CREATION OF SCARBOROUGH TOWN COUNCIL.

The Charter Trustees for Scarborough ensure the continuation of
the civic, historic and ceremonial traditions of the unparished part of the
former Borough of Scarborough and are responsible for choosing a Mayor and
Deputy Mayor from the appointed Trustees annually.
The Trustees are North
Yorkshire Council Councillors representing the electoral divisions falling
wholly or partly within the unparished part of the former Borough of Scarborough . These electoral divisions are those
covering Scarborough town.
