Funding of York Music Hub and Entry into York and North Yorkshire Music Hub Partnership Agreements

 

 

To authorise the passing on of funding to York Music Hub and enter into the York/ North Yorkshire Music Hub partnership agreements.

 

Purpose of report:

 

·         That entering into the partnership agreements between York Music Hub and North Yorkshire Council and the dissemination of those elements of the grant monies allocated for use by the York Music Hub are authorised.

 

·         That Terms and Conditions for the service are changed to allow for half a terms notice.

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
There is 45 days within which to gain the necessary authorisations. The DfE allocated the grant on 1 September 2024, which means that confirmation of the authorisations needs to be made by 14 October 2024. The allocation of the funding was not clear and so considerable time spent on seeking legal advice and guidance. The next meeting, within the 45 day timeframe, of the Children and Young People's Service - Executive Members & Corporate Director is on 1 October 2024.
